We're getting MARRIED!

RACHAEL: Our journey began down the Jersey Shore at Monmouth University. We met on the track team and slowly started seeing more and more of each other at practice, meets, team events, and weekend activities. I was a distance runner; he was a sprinter. Looks like opposites do attract! KEVIN: We stayed close after college & even had TWO first dates! The girl took some convincing… She was in Philly, and I was living it up in New York City. Fate intervened at my company’s annual holiday boat party when I swept Rachael off her feet as my plus one. We’ve been together ever since! RACHAEL: Initially, we were juggling our lives between the two cities. Those early Monday morning bus rides back to the office were no joke... Kevin easily convinced me to move to NYC, a place I’d always dreamed of working & living in, we both knew we belonged there. I took the leap, and shortly after I moved there, we moved in together at Sky & quickly decided it was time to get a puppy! Our little family was beginning… KEVIN: Fast forward 7 amazing years in NYC, filled with memories & adventures, our next steps became crystal clear. I knew that Rachael was the one I wanted to spend forever with. So, I crafted an incredible proposal, with a nostalgic trip back to our college days. The old restaurant I had worked at was participating in restaurant week, so I had the perfect excuse to return to where we met. I told Rachael about a vague weekend away, and after fighting off some wild NJ transit chaos, we found ourselves back at the shore. I was determined to make it there on time, I had a timeslot with the photographer & was not going to miss sunset. The excitement was growing as we strolled down memory lane. I had my surprise in store, a picture-perfect proposal spot on campus. And… She said YES! RACHAEL: Kevin was so suspicious the week of, but he really came up with the perfect plan. Returning to where it all began was the best spot to celebrate. Afterwards we hit the old stomping grounds in Asbury Park. It was truly a day to remember for the rest of my life, and I can’t wait to spend forever together!!!
