Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!

Nick Tahou Hots

320 West Main Street, Rochester, NY 14608
, (585) 436-0184

For some classic Rochester cuisine, you'll need to check out the original garbage plates in downtown Rochester! What is a garbage plate, you ask? Looks like you'll have to check out Nick Tahou's to find out.

Sticky Lips BBQ Juke Joint & Catering

830 Jefferson Road, Rochester, NY 14623
, (585) 292-5544

Sticky Lips BBQ is owned by Courtney's Uncle Howie! She worked there all through college and can personally vouch for the Uncle Frank's Chicken, based on a family recipe!

Blue Barn Cidery

928 Manitou Road, Hilton, NY 14468
, (585) 366-7358

Blue Barn Cidery just so happens to also be at our wedding venue! If you're looking for a place to relax before the ceremony (especially if you’re taking the early shuttle), Blue Barn Cidery is right nextdoor for some pre-ceremony sips.

Genesee Brew House

25 Cataract Street, Rochester, NY 14605
, (585) 263-9200

Wanting to try out some local brews? Check out Genesee Brew House in the downtown Rochester area for that famous Genesee beer (drank all throughout college) and the High Falls views.

Highland Park

Rochester, NY 14620

Definitely check out Highland Park if you get the chance! The Lilac Festival happens here every May so you'll just miss it, but the park is still a sight to see. Inside the park you have the Lamberton Conservatory, the Sunken Gardens, plenty of hiking trails, and we even took some of our engagement photos in the Highland Park Arboretum.

George Eastman Museum

900 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607
, (585) 327-4800

Be sure to check out a Rochester must-see, the George Eastman Museum! As the world's oldest museum dedicated to photography and one of the world's oldest film archives, be sure to check this out in the city where Kodak was founded.

The Strong Museum

1 Manhattan Square Drive, Rochester, NY 14607
, (585) 263-2700

For those with kids in need of entertainment, be sure to check out the Strong Museum for their interactive science exhibits!

Susan B. Anthony Museum & House

17 Madison Street, Rochester, NY 14608
, (585) 235-6124

Looking for a deep dive into local historical figures? Check out the Susan B. Anthony Museum & House. You can also make a stop to Mount Hope Cemetary, the burial place of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass.

Park Avenue

Park Avenue, Rochester, NY

Check out Park Ave for some local restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries! If you're in the mood for some deep dish pizza, check out Chester Cab Pizza, previously run by Courtney's Uncle Howie.

Rochester Public Market

Rochester Public Market, Rochester, NY 14609

Looking for a Sunday morning farmers market before you make your way back home? Be sure to take advantage of all the local offerings.
