Every couple has a unique story as to how they found love. For Kerry and Drew, it’s a story spanning three decades. After meeting for the first time in History class freshman year of high school, it was clear there was a spark between them. Barely teenagers, neither could have imagined then what that spark would grow into. As teenagers often do, Kerry and Drew explored new opportunities, made new friends, and formed new relationships. But every time it seemed their paths were traveling in opposite directions, somehow life always found a way to re-route them back together. Even though Kerry and Drew brought different dates to senior prom, they ended up spending the whole night together instead, enjoying each other’s company and paying attention to little else. No matter what was going on around them, they always found comfort in their own little bubble that was the natural and seemingly effortless connection they had formed. It was a true testament to the strength of their bond, and any adversity they faced along the way would only serve to make it stronger. Kerry and Drew would also be the first to admit that their bond became as strong as it did because of the incredible support of both their families and friends, and pets of course. They became part of each other’s families almost immediately, and that sense of belonging strengthened their desire to start a family of their own together. And so here we are now, on the home stretch to solidify that bond forever. Thank you to everyone we love who has been a part of our journey and helped pave the way to make this day happen. On July 4th, after a waterfall hike through Yosemite National Park, Kerry and Drew went to a romantic lakeside dinner to watch the fireworks. Kerry, unaware of how nervous Drew had been, was still buzzing over the rainbows they had encountered earlier that day, now fixated on the excitement of fireworks. The finale commenced and Drew got down on one knee and popped the question. Stunned but ecstatic, Kerry affirmatively said YES! Following that unforgettable night, they set off to Napa Valley the next day and celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, with lots of wine of course!
