Keri and Tim met in the summer of 2016 working as orientation leaders at Stonehill College, for no reason other than they were assigned to the same lunch group, where Keri thought Tim’s enthusiasm for the tri-color tortellini was “funny and flirty”. They got to know each other over the course of that summer and then later in the fall. Tim eventually got persuaded into doing the school’s annual Mr. Stonehill talent show, which Keri conveniently happened to be a co-host of. But after Tim’s award winning dramatic reading of “The Little Engine That Could”, the semester was winding to a close and the “couple” had to decide whether or not to make the relationship official just weeks before Keri was heading off to New Zealand for a semester. Tim had the very cool and smart idea to date for just one month before she left, so that the relationship could be formalized on their permanent records – a tribute to the memories they made together. Keri did NOT like that and thought it was, to use her exact words, “stupid”. But one thing led to another: a month turned into five years, and then came along a diamond ring, a home, aspirations for a family, and now, a lifelong commitment to each other. Shifting over to first person (because obviously we didn’t hire a third party to write this) – we are so grateful to everyone who has been a part of our journey so far and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you on October 5th!
