AUGUST 2017
Kenzie and Cal meet in their college A Capella group at UNL and become close friends.
January - June 2019
Kenzie and Cal work for New Student Enrollment at UNL together.
SUMMER 2019
Cal moves to California for Teach For America (TFA) and recommends Kenzie to the recruitment team for TFA. Kenzie ends up getting an internship with them in Nebraska for the following year.
October 2020
Cal is back in Nebraska due to COVID, so Kenzie reaches out to him to hear more about Teach For America since she wants to also apply to the program. This ends up being an unofficial first date!
NOVEMBER 2020
Cal and Kenzie are officially a couple after weeks of dating and reconnecting!
JUNE 2021
Kenzie moves to Kansas City, MO to start Teach For America. Long(er) distance dating begins.
JUNE 2021 - JUNE 2023
Kenzie and Cal spend countless weekends traveling back and forth from Nebraska to Kansas City to see each other.
JULY 31, 2022
Cal proposes to Kenzie outside of Westbrook Music Hall at UNL where they first met!
JULY 29th, 2023
Cal and Kenzie will get married! FINALLY, long distance will be over and the rest of forever begins.
