Where is your wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will be held at Grand Palladium Resort in Lucea, Jamaica on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Question

How do I book my travel?

Answer

We are working exclusively with Excursions by Foto Journee to arrange travel for our wedding. Reach out to Rishona Taylor (585) 568-7633 or fotojournee@yahoo.com to arrange your travel.

Is the resort family friendly?

Answer

Absolutely!

Question

How will I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

Our travel agent, Rishona Taylor of Excursions by Foto Journee, is available to coordinate all of your travel needs. Please contact her via (585) 568-7633 or fotojournee@yahoo.com.

Will I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, a passport book will be required for travel to Jamaica. Please visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/forms.html for more information and documentation requirements.

Does my child need a passport?

Answer

Yes. All adults and children in any age group will need a passport to travel to Jamaica by airplane.

How long will it take to receive my new passport?

Answer

Routine service can take up to 14 weeks from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received. Please do not wait to submit your application if you know you will be attending our wedding. We suggest that you apply no later than April 1, 2022.

How soon can I book my travel?

Answer

You may begin booking your complete travel package now on all airlines (flight, hotel, and transfers). We invite you to reach out to our travel agent, Rishona Taylor with Excursions by Foto Journee, at (585) 568-7633 or fotojournee@yahoo.com to secure all of your travel needs.

Please come celebrate with us wearing semi formal attire.

What dates should I plan for?

We would like for you to join us as early as September 29, 2022 (Thursday) and check out October 3, 2022 (Monday).

What will the weather be like this time of year in Jamaica?

Answer

On average 88 degrees in the daytime and 75-79 degrees at night

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list since this is a destination. Our wedding and reception is strictly RSVP only. Please contact the couple directly.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

March 30, 2022 is the deadline, and RSVP is ONLY available online. If you need help, let us know!

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please do not rvsp till you have: 1. Received/applied for your passport 2. Have spoken to the travel agent on arrangements.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food? Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes and we hope to update what kind of food soon. PLEASE contact us ahead of time if your diet requires something special.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #doinMERCERtings so we can keep track of all of your pictures!”

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Should I wear need to wear a mask?

Answer

We know you’re excited about the wedding, and we want to provide a comfortable experience. However, due to some important restrictions in place, all guests will be required to wear masks! The best part? We have right inside our venue – so they are always at arm’s reach – or feel free to bring one from home! We hope things will change by October 2022 as of right now we will follow guideline at the resort and keep you posted.

Are there any COVID policies that I should be aware of?

Answer

Yes. You will need to receive a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. This will be required of everyone age 2 and older. Grand Palladium Jamaica will offer on-site COVID testing for those staying at the resort for 6 nights or less at the rate of $40 USD per Antigen COVID19 Rapid Test, $150 USD per PCR COVID19 Test. Those staying for 7 nights or more will receive complimentary Antigen COVID19 Rapid Testing until further notice. Costs may be subject to change without notice.
