Regardless of what John may say, I believe most of us would agree that it was love at first sight for John. We both attended SIUE for college, and John noticed me in the weight room during practice. John was just in the first few months of his freshmen year (he is a year younger than me). From there, he tried talking to me from time to time in the trainers room, parties, etc. It was not until he sang happy birthday to me at a Christmas house party in front of everyone that I started to give him a chance. We did not go out on our first date until February and then eventually began dating in March. To this day, I am very thankful he sang happy birthday to me. And now, here we are, nearly 9 years later and finally getting married (with a few moves in between).

John proposed on December 10, 2022 in Lake Geneva, WI. He surprised me with a weekend trip to Lake Geneva for my birthday. He proposed on the pier in downtown Lake Geneva and then we had a surprise engagement party with some of our friends and family at the Grand Geneva. It was truly an unforgettable weekend!
