Flight
Charlotte International Airport (CLT)
For those traveling to NC by flight, Charlotte's airport is 2 hours southeast of West Jefferson. CLT is the busiest airport in North Carolina with the most direct flights. There are several rental car companies which can provide a means to transportation from Charlotte to the Blue Ridge mountains via I-77 to 421.
Flight
Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO)
GSO is located in Greensboro, NC and is 1 hour 55 minutes East of West Jefferson, NC. While there are less flights, this airport is slightly closer than Charlotte International Airport via I-40 to 421. Rental car is recommended for traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains if flying in from out of state.
