We’re getting married!

James and Kennedy met for the very first time at Whataburger in Pearland after a high school basketball game in 2016. James greeted Kennedy with the biggest smile and Kennedy thought he was a very handsome guy but younger than her. After that, they connected through Twitter and became friends. They had a mutual love for the Houston Rockets and James Harden over the years. They became friends on social media platforms. In early 2017, Kennedy and James talked just about everyday and James even visited some of her younger brother’s basketball games. One day, Kennedy found out that James was just getting to his college campus around noon, and she realized they were the same age. The rest starts their history. In late summer of 2017, the two began to go on dates. They loved each other’s presence so much and continued to talk even though Kennedy was leaving to go back to Texas State University for her sophomore year. After they figured out how to make the long distance, two and a half hours away from each other work, they officially start dating on October 6, 2017. After five years of loving each other and growing together since 19 years old, James decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life, growing and getting old and loving Kennedy. James bought a ring in November of 2022. He then asked Kennedy to go on a nice dinner date. James told Kennedy to dress up and get “done up” for a dinner well-deserved at the end of the year. Kennedy bought a nice dress, got her nails, and hair done. On December 23, James and Kennedy enjoyed a nice dinner date at the Warwick Restaurant at 6:30 PM. They left the restaurant around 8 to make it in time for Kennedy’s parents’ “26th Anniversary party” set to start at 8 PM. Kennedy had no idea she was walking into her surprise engagement party full of family and friends. After a friend of Kennedy’s parents presented her parents with Vacation Cruise tickets, James took the stage and had all eyes on him and Kennedy. After James grabbed Kennedy’s hands, she immediately started crying with joy. The joyous moment was captured by many family and friends that can’t wait for this union to finally happen. Kennedy said yes! James and Kennedy are getting married in January of 2024.
