We're Getting Married!

We met on Bumble in 2021 when Kendall moved home from college to start her Master's degree. Kendall was attending George Mason and Mike was working on a project in Manassas, Virginia which was right next to Kendall's campus. We think this is how we got on each other's radius on Bumble. On Bumble, the girl has to message first, and if they don't, the match expires in 24 hours and you can no longer message the other person. However, the guy can pay to extend the time the girl has to reach out, giving them more time to make a first move. Mike "says" he extended the time for Kendall to reach out to him so their match didn't expire, but Kendall still does not believe that to this day. Kendall's first message to Mike read "I'm no photographer, but I can picture us together ;)". Mike then replied with, "Oh jeez, I hope I don't blink from the flash and miss this opportunity ;)." Mike later asked when Kendall was free for Mexican and Margaritas (he already knew the way to her heart)! We had our first date on Dec. 14, 2021 at Mariachis Tequileria & Restaurant in Old Town Manassas. Kendall didn't eat any of her dinner because she was talking too much (and forgot to ask for no onions - first date nerves!), and Mike finished his plate very quickly. After dinner, we headed to the Bull Run Festival of Lights which is a drive through Christmas light display. At the end of the lights, there is a carnival that we walked around and played the usual carnival games. We got on the ferris wheel and we stopped right at the top. Our first kiss was at the top of the ferris wheel (how cute). Felt too good to be true! That is what Mike and Kendall kept telling all of their friends after the date. After the carnival, we went to a bar back in Old Town Manassas that was still open. Once the bar was closed, we sat in the BB&T Parking Lot and talked for hours. Needless to say, our first date lasted 9 hours and Mike barely made it to work on time the next day. But, it was worth it! We both knew since our first date that we were meant to "bee!" Haha, get it?
