Kimberly Sutton

Bride

The first concert Kimberly ever attended was an MC Hammer concert during her junior year of high school in 1991. Kimberly was a huge MC Hammer fan, and thus in preparation for his show, she perfected her Running Man dance and rallied her friends to wait in line overnight in the cold for tickets. Her perseverance and planning was rewarded with floor seats where she danced the night away doing the Running Man dance approximately 102,894,792, times. Today, Kimberly likes to relive her winning moments by dancing to music strictly produced in the 90s and reminding the younger generation that "dey don't know nuthin bout dis" when she dances. During the reception, you can see Kimberly on the dance floor performing the Running Man along with the Cabbage Patch, the Cupid Shuffle, the Pac Man, and the Humpty Dance. No autographs, please.

Kelvin Harrington

Groom

KT attended the University of Minnesota where he worked his way through college and graduated with no student loans (take that FICO). In those years one of his side hustles was performing with a group at First Avenue in Minneapolis. He often opened for local and famous artists alike. One of those famous performers was none other than MC Hammer in 1991 during his world tour. That night KT gave an outstanding performance and was invited to come back the next night. Today KT likes to tell anyone who will listen, that MC Hammer perfected the Running Man after watching him perform it and that he has had to "school a few folks" over the years. He also claims that 1. He can still hit all those dance moves today without his knees hurting, 2. He deserves an Oscar because he was once an extra for .5 seconds in a movie starring Tim Allen, and 3. Star Wars is better than Star Trek; so consider all of his claims prior to making any decisions. Now it may only be a coincidence that both Kimberly and KT both did the Running Man in 1991 while in the presence of MC Hammer, but we like to believe in love and destiny. You can find KT performing the Running Man and other dances much better than Kimberly can (she's not a good dancer, but she tries) during the reception while he yells to the crowd "y'all gon learn today".

N'shayne Thomas

Matron of Honor

N'shayne and Kimberly, bound by blood and love, share inherent traits that define the Sutton line. First on the list – an extravagant obsession for shoes. Be warned: if your shoes are busted, they won't hesitate to spill the tea. The second shared trait is a love for singing. Now, in the sacred realm of Karaoke, N'shayne has bestowed upon Kimberly some invaluable life skills. Lesson one: always bring your own microphone if you're around other Sutton women – they don't share. Lesson two: when lacking a microphone, improvise with whatever you can grab – kitchen utensils, brooms, bottles... you get the drift; although that last one might be from her dad's side of the family. Seeking wisdom from N'shayne? Just observe her attempting to wrestle the microphone from the DJ during the reception. Rest assured, he's learning a thing or two as well. Cheers to the N'shayne for fashion and karaoke antics! 🎤👠

Taya Harrington

Best Woman

Meet Taya, the 29-year-old stuffed animal whisperer extraordinaire. Back in the golden days of childhood, Taya didn't just play tea party with her stuffed animals; she orchestrated full-fledged melodramas. Picture this: a young Taya, armed with a squad of plush cohorts, engaging in intense conversations that echoed through the house. However, these weren't your typical tea-time discussions – Taya's stuffed animals were subjected to the kind of dramatic dialogue that would make a soap opera blush. She'd scold them with the ferocity of a preschool drill sergeant, throwing around words that could make a sailor blush. Her plush companions, traumatized witnesses to these verbal theatrics, probably wished they had a counseling hotline for stuffed animals. Now, at the ripe age of 29, Taya has swapped out the plush drama for adulting, but her stuffed animals likely still shudder at the memories of those raucous playdates. It's safe to say that Taya's childhood was an epic saga of fluffy turmoil, and her stuffed animals, well, they've earned their honorary degrees in plush psychology. At the reception, free to give Taya much love for being the originator of the phrase "You Gon' Learn Today!"

Martha Valenzuela

Bridesmaid

Kimberly unapologetically stole Martha from KT as soon as he introduced them to each other. Martha then stole his bed the week she stayed at their house when she visited. Hmmm, I think this friendship is not working out for KT, but Kimberly and Martha are doing great. One day their friendship was tested when Martha was getting dressed for the evening (she takes forever) and Kimberly rushed her (she is obsessed with time) so they would not be late. Martha was not pleased when she had to hang her head out of the Uber to dry her hair only to discover they were the first to arrive. Martha learned to forgive Kimberly and Kimberly learned to get her own Uber. You will find Martha near the photo booth giving out beauty hacks like "Uber hair dryer" and others during the reception.

Joshua Lowrey

Groomsman

Joshua is the epitome of a perpetually positive person - now try saying that 3 times in a row without spitting on someone. K.T. knew Joshua when he was in high school as the basketball star of Desert Vista. Joshua has always kept a good moral compass and his intellect is highly admired. As co-workers, Joshua was more than happy to take on the persona of Marcus (Martin Lawrence) from the Bad Boyz series as K.T. played the role of Mike Lowry (Will Smith). During the reception, you will find Joshua providing positive proverbs privately and publically for people pursuing priceless proclamations!

Tracy Lunsford

Bridesmaid

Tracy enjoys offering unsolicited advice to anyone she deems worthy of receiving it. Over the years, her advice has made Kimberly and KT's life better. For example, they only drink good Tequila and have a fond appreciation of vintage drinkware. Just remember #whattracysaid and you will learn why she is usually right about these things. Also, Tracy loves to remind Kimberly that she met KT first. If you want good advice and a new friend, you can find Tracy handing out Zip Fizz near the bar during the reception.

Marquise Ruffin

Groomsman

Marquise perfected The Dougie while in high school. His claim to fame is an old 1999 YouTube video in which he is recorded performing The Dougie during a school performance to the cheers, hoopla, and applaud of his fellow classmates. Today, his mother loves to play this YouTube video at all family gatherings. She especially loves doing so, when he has friends over and it embarrasses him the most. Now if you have ever asked someone to "teach me how to Dougie?" then your Dougie prayers have been answered because during the reception, Marquise will be t-teaching all of us how to Dougie so all his ladies love him. These days" his ladies" is his gorgeous wife who no doubt fell in love with his Dougie style.

Trenton Ruffin

Son of the Bride

Meet Trenton, possibly the most interesting son in the world (cue Dos Equis commercial). Trenton always arrives on time because it's the right time whenever he arrives. In Kindergarten, while other kids read Dr. Seuss, Trenton delved into Time Magazine because, let's be honest, children's books were beneath his intellectual stature. At the tender age of 16, Trenton didn't bother learning to drive; instead, the traffic laws graciously adjusted for him. Stop signs pondered their significance in his universe, and traffic lights blushed a vibrant green in anticipation of his approach. In Trenton's world, even traffic bows down to his greatness. You see, Trenton's charm is so contagious that vaccines have been created for it. If you see what's so interesting about Trenton, you can find him on the dance floor during the reception, because he is the reason disco balls spin.

Kaiden Harrington

Ring Bearer

Meet the phenomenal Kung Fu Dynamo, Dino Enthusiast, Pop Pop Prodigy, Video Game Guru, and the Fiercest Defender of Mom – the legendary 6-year-old Kaiden! With skills in kung fu that put Bruce Lee to shame, Kaiden unleashes high kicks and punches that would make any T-Rex quake in its prehistoric boots during his backyard dino expeditions. Yet, amid the kung fu kicks, dino roars, and gaming triumphs, Kaiden's fierce superhero cape truly emerges when it comes to protecting his mom, Taya. With a heart as big as his imagination, Kaiden is rewriting the rules of fun and safeguarding the kingdom of family with every fearless move. Watch out world, this 6-year-old legend is on a mission to conquer and protect with the strength of a thousand kung fu dinosaurs! At the reception, Kaiden will be next to his mom. Be careful what you say!

Joseph Ruffin

Son of the Bride

Do you ever "Scream" "I'm Bad" for no reason? Do you ever “Say Say Say” to the “Man in thy Mirror” that you need love, it doesn’t matter if she’s “Black or White”. Well, Joey is here for you. You see growing up Joey was obsessed with Michael Jackson aka the King of Pop, and at the tender age of 3 would play the Thriller album on repeat all hours "Workin' Day and Night" using his Fisher Price boom box making his mother want to “Beat It”. Over the years, Joey's love of the King has landed him in some interesting situations, such as the day the King passed, and Joey paid tribute to him by standing on a street corner dressed like MJ waving to passing cars - sparkling glove and all. I say all this to assure you that Joey has all the moves you need to get the girl. Whether it’s Billie Jean or that hottie Dirty Diana and you’re thinking “I Wanna Rock Wit You” because you don’t know “The Way You Make Me Feel” then Joey has your back. You see there won’t be any “Blood on the Dancefloor” because Joey has perfected all the King’s moves and will be on hand during the reception to make you feel like a “Smooth Criminal” and give you the confidence you need to holla at that “PYT” you got your eye on. And if that doesn’t work, you can “Blame it on the Boogie”.

Annalise Ruffin

Flower Girl

Meet the pint-sized parkour powerhouse, Annalise, or as GG and Pop Pop lovingly call her, Anna Banna – the tiniest tornado in the family! At the grand age of 4, Anna has already declared her home a parkour playground, turning couches into obstacle courses and kitchen chairs into daring launch pads. Forget the terrible twos; Anna has mastered the fantastic fours with a flair for freestyle living. Watch out, world, because this little daredevil is flipping, jumping, and cartwheeling her way through childhood, leaving a trail of giggles and overturned cushions in her wake! 🌪️🤸‍♀️😄 You will see Anna Parkour down the aisle as a flower girl, showing all the other flower girls, how to get down the aisle without ever touching the ground.

Luna Rae Ruffin

Flower Girl

At 2 years old, Luna Rae has mastered FOMO and is the reigning queen of her household. Although she is the baby sister, big sis Annalise knows Luna is the boss and sees herself as the real HKIC (Head Kid in Charge). Often when big sis Anna is playing Luna gives her a look, while shaking her head saying, “I’m too old for this ish”. Have no doubt Luna is in charge, and she is on a mission to either organize the occasional plot to overthrow her parents, oversee the distribution of cookies at snack time, or negotiate a reasonable bedtime with Dad. You will see Luna as a flower girl during the ceremony, shaking her head with a look of disappointment and exasperation as her big sis Anna Parkours down the aisle.

Naomi Davenport

Flower Girl

Meet the formidable force of fabulousness, Naomi, affectionately known as Nay Nay. This little diva in the making is not just an entertainer – she's a walking, talking Broadway production waiting to happen. When the spotlight isn't shining bright enough, Nay Nay unleashes her trademark "watch me!" yell, kicking off a performance complete with song, dance, and costume changes that could give Hollywood wardrobe departments a run for their sequins. But that's not all – Nay Nay's favorite color is Rainbow because divas shouldn’t have to choose and her spirit animal is a Unicorn because she’s a diva. This little diva is on a mission to spread laughter, turning chaos into the most entertaining show in town. If you love Broadway musicals, you will find Naomi giving random performances all night during the reception.
