We're getting married!

Before they were in a relationship, they were friends. Nick was pursuing an advanced degree from Central Michigan University while Kelsey was getting her start there. After spending some time studying abroad in 2014, Kelsey returned and quietly looked for a new student club to join on campus. Before long, this search led Kelsey to Nick. Their mutual interest in nerdy culture and creative storytelling quickly made them friends. Kelsey claims from the beginning, she knew that Nick was "dangerous" in terms of budding feelings. And once they began texting daily, they both knew that the friendship was turning into something more. Nick was the one to take the plunge, asking for the first date. Kelsey said yes, and they drove to Frankenmuth, which has since then turned into a yearly tradition. Their first date led to many more, before Nick proposed within the botanical gardens in Grand Rapids. Kelsey said yes again; and now, they're having a party to celebrate two families becoming one.
