We're Getting Married

We first met WAY back in 2013 when Kelsey moved into the upstairs apartment of a Ventura duplex that was too close to the railroad tracks (it was always a toss-up between whether or not we were experiencing an earthquake or just the 6:00 a.m. Amtrak commute). Her earliest memory of Greg was noticing how well he avoided eye contact through the apartment window while she and her roommates tried to push furniture up a flight of stairs during move-in. Greg claims he knew right away that we would end up together but Kelsey took a little longer to catch on since she didn't believe in dating neighbors. While our early relationship had some kinks to work out - including the weird tension between Greg and Kelsey's dog Boo - we've made it seven years with (almost) no regrets and a lot of stories to tell. And throughout it all, one thing remains constant: that weird tension between Greg and Boo that never went away.

Looking for a COVID-friendly escape during the summer of 2020 after a year of weird changes, Kelsey planned a trip to Eureka, CA and dragged Greg along. While Kelsey hadn't bothered being subtle after their sixth year together, she hadn't expected her trip to be hijacked by an engagement. During a magical and really long hike through the Redwoods (where they filmed the first Jurassic Park movie), Greg waited for the right moment to ask THE question. Lunchtime and mid-sandwich was that moment, obviously. Greg and Kelsey shared the happy news with friends and family to the general feedback of "finally", and we all went back to quarantine a little bit happier and more loved.

We want to share a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came to celebrate with us despite the weather, the travel, and the *pandemic thing*.
