Steve and I’s love story began on June 17th, 2021. Steve slid into my Instagram dms the week prior and asked me out. I know, such a modern love story! I said yes and was trying to think of a fun date idea and suddenly I thought how fun it would be to venture to Martha’s Vinyard for the day. I figured since I had known who he was a little bit, it’ll be fine! Steve was right away down for the date idea and so we set the day! That morning Steve comes to pick me up and I don’t see him outside. Well, thats because he was parked in front of the wrong house! He meets me half way to greet and like the gentleman he is, opens the door for me. I was like, who is this man! We finally get to parking, hop on the bus to head down to woods hole, only to get there and see that our ferry boat is leaving the dock. We missed it by 2 minutes! (Which wasn’t our fault!) We instead luckily get on the much smaller boat and finally head to the Vinyard. From the moment our date began, it was full of conversation, laughter and so much fun. I immediately felt, wow I like him. The day goes by, we didn’t want to leave, but, we had too! So we finally head home to Plymouth after the longest date ever and the rest is history !
Steve planned a date to head Boston Seaport for what he said was just going to be “a fun date night” before Christmas. Since we love a good date night, I of course was on board and thought how much fun it would be. I come home from work, get ready, all the while Steve remains cool, calm and collected not giving me any hints about what is to come. Once we park we start to walk the pier to head to what I thought was dinner. Steve and I shared a kiss and then he turned me, dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. The moment felt not real, it felt more like a dream! I of course say yes, in shock, full of excitement and non stop smiling! But, that’s not all he had for a surprise. He hired a professional photographer to capture this incredibly special moment. A moment we are able to relive through these photos for a lifetime. The pier was so beautiful with all of the boats and buildings lit up with pretty lights. We popped champagne, had a photo shoot, went to dinner and spent the night at Seaport Hotel that was decorated with roses everywhere! It was the most special evening. One I will never forget.
