It all started one Fall day in between classes during their first semester of law school. Kelsey had some time before her next class so she decided to wait in the student lounge. When she sat down, Steve called over to her from a table nearby where he was sitting with some other classmates. “Hey Kelsey, come sit and study with us!” he said. She proceeded to join. At some point later Steve got Kelsey’s number and they started to text. They went on some sushi dates, which she told him was the key to her heart. Fast forward to second semester of their first year in law school. In February, Steve invited Kelsey to the Barristers Ball, which was a law-school dance. Steve asked Kelsey to be his Valentine. She then found a bouquet of flowers on the windshield of her car in the law school parking lot. They fell for each other fast since they were basically together all the time - whether it was sitting next to one another in class, getting lunch during their break at Houlihan’s, studying or hanging out over the weekends. Steve introduced Kelsey to water sports and Kelsey introduced Steve to baseball and more specifically, the Mets. They found they shared common interests that included hiking, nature and upstate NY. They began taking weekend trips upstate and exploring new places. The rest is history
