We met in junior high. We lived in the same neighborhood a few streets from each other and "dated" then (whatever that means at the ages of 12-13). We ran the neighborhood riding bikes, playing tag, and living our carefree lives. Time went on and Nate moved out of the district and we each became a memory to one another. That was until a few years ago when we started running into one another out and about in Kansas City. We ran into each other at Bert's pool one summer. We ran into each other out at dinner. We ran into each other at the bar. And finally Nate asked to go to dinner, and the rest was history.

Nate is an avid sky diver and had been trying to get me (Kelsey) to sky dive since the day we met. I was reluctant and thought he was crazy if he thought I was going to free fall through the air when I have issues with heights to begin with!! After several months, I agreed that over the summer I would be willing to make a jump because one of my bridesmaids (Sam) wanted to go too! The day came to jump and off we went. I (Kelsey) was scared, excited, nervous, you name it. But I suited up and so did Nate. He was in the front of the plane and I was in the back with my tandom instructor. Nate looked at me and told me he loved me and jumped. It was my turn and out we went! I went through all the emotions wile free falling!! Once we were under canopy my instructor was showing me all the things in KC that could be seen while in the air. He asked me how good my eye site was and asked if I could see the sign on the ground (which looked like a big white rectangle from where we were). He asked if I could see what it said and turned our parachute around and that's when I saw what that sign said!! We landed right beside the sign and Nate got down on one knee!!!!
