Things To Do

Space Needle

Space Needle

400 Broad Street, Seattle, WA 98109

Around the corner from our Downtown Seattle apartment is one of our city's greatest attractions, the Space Needle. Buy a ticket and take the speedy elevator to the top to enjoy wonderful views of the city and on a clear day, you'll see all the mountains the Puget Sound has to offer.

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market

85 Pike Street, Seattle, WA 98101

Did you know that world's longest continuously running market is in Seattle? Pike Place Market is a bustling, historic marketplace that features a diverse range of vendors selling fresh produce, seafood, crafts, and specialty foods. Some of our favorite spots include Saffron Spice for some delicious samosas, Beechers for their world famous mac and cheese and Seattle's Best Chowder for some clam chowder that will give New England a run for its money. The Market is also home to the first Starbuck's. Make sure to line up early to take a look. We highly recommend booking a food tour on Airbnb Experiences or Trip Advisor.

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Island, WA

Looking for a quick day trip? Bainbridge Island is just a 30 minute ferry ride from Downtown Seattle. The island has plenty of walking trails, cute shops, and yummy restaurants. You can even rent kayaks and boats to explore the Puget Sound. This is a great option for folks who don't have a car, as you can easily walk onto the ferry and around Main Street. Fun Fact: Megumi bought Kelsey's engagement ring on the island, so it will always have a special place in our hearts ... and on Kelsey's finger.

Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie, WA

Head out in nature and visit Snoqualmie Falls. As seen on the TV show Twin Peaks, a hike up to the falls showcases all the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest. Be sure to bring a light jacket as the temperature may change as you hike. There are trails for all levels of hiking and there is also a overlook that you can drive up to. Fun fact: When we visited Seattle before officially moving we took a tour of Snoqualmie Falls and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.

Road Trip?

Looking for a road trip? Seattle is three hours away from both Portland, OR and Vancouver, BC, Canada. You can head to Portland and discover why their motto is "Keep Portland Weird" or you can drive up to Vancouver to explore Canada's West Coast. If you're looking for a further drive, we HIGHLY recommend checking out the San Juan Islands in Washington, or Whistler, BC, Canada. Fun Fact: Megumi proposed to Kelsey in Whistler. It's where the 2010 Winter Olympics were held. If you would like more help planning your Pacific Northwest Road Trip, let us know and we will share some great itineraries.
