It was a normal day working at CitizenM for Kelsey until Lex sat down at her bar... Kelsey was immediately struck by Lex's eye contact and beauty and Lex had no clue that Kelsey was interested. They got to speaking and immediately hit it off! The rest is history!

On a very cold day in January, it all began... Kelsey had a note in her pocket to ask Lex to be her girlfriend and little did she know, Lex was going to ask her that very day! It was in front of Brookfield Place where Lex asked Kelsey to be official. They joke all of the time on who asked first because technically Kelsey wrote the note first but Lex technically spoke the words out loud. Who do YOU think took the lead on making things official?

In September of 2019, Lex and Kelsey embarked on the exciting journey of becoming home owners. Building a life in Weehawken NJ has been an absolute highlight!

Once we had a home, the next step was obvious... CATS! Welcoming Ace and Arla into our family was the absolute best. Their furry little meows have since then become avid travelers statewide, cuddle experts, and even learned tricks including sitting on command, pirouettes, and hopping up on their hind legs.

The pandemic of course put us all a shock. However, it was at this time where a vacation which was supposed to last one weekend turned into Kelsey and Lex's home away from home. For 9 months, they lived the mountain life in North Carolina! Lex's family welcomed them with open arms to live at the Tree of Life Cottage which they normally run as an AirBnB. Their daily lives no longer consisted of long nights out on the town, but rather long relaxing drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, horseback riding, and thrift shopping at the Tri City Flea.

Kelsey and Lex had been talking about tying the knot a long while back so it was no surprise. Kelsey works for a company called Zameer Kassam Fine Jewelry where they create meaningful pieces which are inspired by each couple's love story. There was no question on where they would receive their sparkle from! After speaking with the team about their love story and overall aesthetic, Zameer Kassam's team designed and crafted completely bespoke rings with meaningful details within.

As we all know, North Carolina is big in Lex and Kelsey's story so what better place to propose?! They stayed the night in Asheville, hopping around to their favorite shops and restaurants and then took a tour of the Biltmore Estate to pop the question. It may have been freezing cold that day, but the love between them kept them warm!
