Mackinac Island
Mackinac Island sits in Lake Huron and connects Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas (two hours and fifteen minutes from Traverse City). This historic island does not allow cars, so hop on the ferry and then take a horse carriage to the center of town. Their fudge is amazing!
