Who needs a wedding, anyways?!

We had planned on celebrating our marriage with a formal wedding ceremony in Brazil in October of 2020. After having those wedding plans cancelled abruptly (thanks, COVID!), Iz and I carried on loving life together in Las Vegas! Late last year, we got an itch to move out to Hideaway, Texas to be closer to my grandpa (papa), James Witherow! We made it happen and found our dream home here in East Texas and moved in November. With a lot of elbow grease and even more patience, we worked on renovations until getting it at least move-in ready by Christmas of '21! We're living here in the guest bedroom for now, working nights & weekends to finish the rest of the home and get fully moved in. Excited to get everyone together this summer to celebrate love, family, and our new happy home here in Hideaway. Hope we get to see you!

This wedding began with a fateful broken microwave one afternoon in October 2018. They'd spent months working in the same office in SF, bustling through their busy lives with not much more than a passing hello. It wasn't until one day when Israel told Kelsey she was unknowingly using the broken microwave in the shared kitchen. Before heading back to their desks, Israel asked if he could take Kelsey to lunch the next day! Kelsey was elated - but equally reserved, unsure if it was for networking or a proper date! Sure enough, Israel showed up to her desk the next day. They went to The Italian Homemade and spent hours eating lasagna, gelato, and enjoyed some espresso in the park. The very next day, Israel was leaving for Brazil - and when he'd return, Kelsey had temporarily relocated to Las Vegas and wouldn't be back to that office again! They talked day & night and decided to move in together after just 40 days of dating bliss. Before long, it was clear - they'd found "the one." _ Após meses trabalhando no mesmo prédio em São Francisco, vivendo suas vidas ocupadas, não havia muito espaço para mais que um “oi”, até o dia em que Israel contou para a Kelsey que ela estava usando o microondas quebrado e finalmente eles se falaram na cozinha comunal. Israel então convidou Kelsey para almoçar no dia seguinte. Kelsey pulou de alegria, mas ao mesmo tempo não entendeu se era um evento de networking ou um date. No dia seguinte, Israel apareceu em sua mesa e a levou no seu restaurante italiano favorito, onde passaram horas conversando. Ficou claro, naquele dia, que eles estavam começando algo especial. No dia seguinte, Israel embarcou para uma viagem de duas semanas ao Brasil, e, quando tivesse retornado, Kelsey já teria se mudado para Las Vegas. Eles se falaram constantemente e viajaram para se encontrar. 40 dias depois, decidiram morar juntos. Louco, né? Às vezes, louco é bom! Depois disso, logo perceberam que acharam a pessoa certa. O que é pra acontecer, acontece!
