When can I expect a formal invitation?

Answer

We plan on sending out invitations between two and three months before the wedding. However, we know traveling adds a layer for planning and want to make sure everyone has as many details as possible well in advance of the wedding. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us!

What's the dress code?

Answer

Let's say dressy lakeside casual: cocktail dresses, button down shirts with slacks (tie optional), jumpsuits, etc. The ceremony will be on grass and the grounds are quite nice to walk, so plan footwear accordingly. We recommend bringing a jacket- all bets are off for April in New York!

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Weather depending, we plan to have the brief ceremony on the lawn by the lake and cocktail hour on the heated porch. The reception will be inside. In case of rain, we have contingency plans.

What's the heating situation?

Answer

Cayuga Shoreline has heaters on their porch for cocktail hour. There won't be heaters for the ceremony on the lawn, but we plan to make it relatively brief.

What's the bar format?

Answer

We will have an open bar with wine, beer, liquor, and non-alcoholic options from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Please consider bringing cash to tip the bartenders.

Question

The reception ends at 11:00 PM, but the last bus leaves at 12:15 AM... what's that about?

Answer

After the reception, guests are welcome to go to the bar next door to the venue, O’Malley’s, to continue the party, with the last bus back to Ithaca leaving at 12:15 AM.
