Their story began at Granite Bay High School. Each student was required to take a fine art class for graduation so Garrett and some of his friends chose dance. Kelsey and Garrett immediately became friends and an innocent flirtation began. Kelsey, the Teacher Intern, choreographed a dance to “Latch’” by Sam Smith and chose Garrett as her dance partner. Garrett came up with the nickname “Perfect Kelsey”, which stuck the rest of high school and was the first sign of his love for Kels. They stayed in touch and remained good friends throughout college. When Garrett was in NYC for a rugby tournament in 2017, he visited Kelsey at NYU. They still felt that strong connection they had in high school. In June of 2020, Kelsey visited Garrett in Dallas, TX. They officially went on their first date, and instantly began falling in love. Shortly after they were inseparable, spending weekends visiting each other in Dallas and San Francisco. They bonded over their mutual love for travel and eating good food! One year later, Kelsey moved to Dallas and they got an apartment together. On December 22nd, 2022 Garrett got down on one knee and proposed. Many of you were there to celebrate! Kelsey is still amazed that 60 people pulled off the big surprise. It was a night they both will never forget. Their love story continues in Granite Bay, where it all began. They have purchased their first home and are busy making it their own. They love being close to family and many friends. They eagerly anticipate celebrating with you in Punta Cana, when they officially become Husband & Wife!
