Visit the downtown Riverwalk

The Riverwalk in Downtown Wilmington is a showstopper of a stroll that is a distinctive attraction all its own. Originally conceived in the 1980s as a way to generate more interest and tourism to the Cape Fear River waterfront regions of Wilmington's historic Downtown, today the Riverwalk encompasses a full mile of scenic boardwalk, hugging the borders of the riverfront, and providing visitors with endless views and easy access to some of the Downtown's most beloved attractions.

Katy's Grill and Bar

You won't be able to find the above sign anymore, but swing by for lunch or a beer in the bar to pay homage to another member of the elite member of restaurateurs in Wilmington to make it 30 years in business, my mom! And if you're lucky, you'll get to party with her on Friday and Saturday!

The Oceanic Restaurant

Grab a bite to eat at the restaurant closest to the water on the South end of Wrightsville Beach. Also a great place to dine and watch surfers and fisherman on the end of the pier.

Trolly Stop

Stop by this local, cash-only institution of Wrightsville Beach and grab some hot dogs! Our personal favorites are the Surfer Dog and the Battleship Dog...Casey has been eating these for almost 20 years.

Wrightsville Beach Brewery

Try some local beer at this popular brewery, located right behind Salt Works, which was Casey's mom's very first restaurant that she started back in the day!
