Hunter and I met in Bettendorf high school through his best friend Billy. I was boy crazy, but I knew Hunter was special. I had told Billy I would marry him. Billy laughed and said good luck! Hunter was occupied at the time, but that was okay because I was in high school and told Billy I wasn't going to marry him right now. Hunter and I stayed platonic friends until November of 2018. I had moved back and Hunter had messaged me, and we finally had a free night, which turned from a catching -up session, and going out to bars with friends turned into an all-night date. We knew from then on that we were for each other. All this time apart, and it was as if we were best friends. As our friendship grew, so did our love. We have memories as friends that grew to have eternal love for one another. I think if you try to find your soulmate, you’ve got to find your best friend.
It started off like any other vacation day, but today I knew was going to be a life-altering moment in our relationship. I was nervous and excited, a little bit overwhelmed, but I knew I had got the right one. We took several walks to the beach that day. The sun was going to set and I had dinner afterwards. So I did what any nervous man would do and I buried her in the sand and then asked her. Now we’re getting married!!
