We met at Caffrey's when Wolf first checked my ID and I, Kelly, totally ignored him. Over the next two years we spent Sunday's at Caffrey's watching movies and becoming friends. In the spring of 2016 I asked him to my senior formal and we had a blast! After graduation from Marquette, we would run into each other in Milwaukee, until the pandemic hit and we chose each other for our social bubbles. In 2020 I asked him if he wanted to date and he said sure! We never officially became "boyfriend" & "girlfriend" - it was just how people would introduced us. So we went with it. In the spring of 2021 we decided to make a big move and headed to Key West, Florida. In February of 2022 we headed back to Milwaukee for the first time since we moved, to celebrate National Marquette Day! I had a hint that he might propose - both our families were going to be in town, all of our friends were in town, and it was where we met. I suggested we head to Mug Night at Caffrey's on Thursday and he said of course. Unbeknownst to me, he had planned it months ago and already made sure some of our friends were there. Once we had been there a while I headed to the restroom and he went behind the bar to pour another round of drinks. I made it back to the bar and started pouring myself a beer from the pitcher - totally oblivious to the fact that he was behind me on one knee. The bartender looked at me and said will you hand Wolf his drink; me being me, I said no - he can get it himself. After about 30 seconds I finally turned around and he asked the question! "We met in this bar, we became friends in this bar, and we fell in love in this bar. Will you marry me?"
