Even though our paths crossed many times, we were first introduced to each other when we both swiped right. Although we were very found of each other, the story did not end there. At the time, we both had very busy lives and different schedules. Nick and a group of friends went out for dinner one night without realizing that was where Kelly worked. Although Nick noticed Kelly right away, Kelly did not notice Nick until she was dropping off their order at the table. It took a few weeks after that to actually meet up in person for our first date. On our first date, we ended up spending six hours together and had the time of our lives. Once the date ended, we both went our separate ways. Despite having the best first date, we both fell out of contact and did not talk for some time. Fast forward a few weeks, Nick stopped in for lunch again with his family. This time, they got seated in Kelly's section. After Nick and his family left, Kelly reached out to Nick. We continued to date but again, got caught up in life and went our separate ways again. Months go by and our paths crossed again. This time was going to be different. It was a Friday night and we both ended up going out to the same bar. After some convincing, Nick worked up the courage to go say 'Hi" to Kelly. The spark was lit again. A few days later, we met for a cup of coffee after work and decided to give it a shot. From that day on, we quickly began to talk every day and before we knew it, a few months had gone by. Nick got an opportunity to further his career and move to Maryland mid-pandemic, surely life had gotten in the way again. But not this time. We decided to take this next journey on together. We both moved from Illinois to Maryland for two years. During this time, our relationship grew and it was clear we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Even though we loved exploring the east coast, Chicagoland is our home. On December 20th, 2021 Nick purposed to Kelly in front of the Christmas Tree in Millennium Park.
