Walk off the wedding night on the beautiful backroads of Amador City and Sutter Creek. Make it as short or as long as you would like. Maps will be available at The End of Nowhere.
The drive up Hwy 88 is beautiful. The aspen trees may be changing colors around this time. We recommend the Hope Valley. From Amador City, you are less than 2 hours from South Lake Tahoe! Hiking in the Sierra's should be great too. Reach out to either of us if you want hiking recommendations.
There's plenty to do in California's smallest town. Of course we love The End of Nowhere. You can have a lovely day hanging out, cruising town and popping into the shops and restaurants, don't miss the Whitney Museum.

Black Chasm is about 30 minutes from Amador City. California Cavern is about 50 minutes Amador City. Each Cavern is pretty fascinating and family friendly.
October 5th and 6th This is a local annual wine tasting event in the Shenandoah Valley. If you like wine, this is a great way to try some in the region. Tickets sell fast. Of course, you can taste wine in downtown Amador City and Sutter Creek.
The rail cars are so fun! Booking in advance is highly recommended.
This is not really an event we are into. BUT! If you are, you should do it. It's the Ultimate Haunted Mansion ;-) Tickets sell fast and are available starting Sept. 1st.
