Question

What time should you arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15 minutes early to find your seat

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please plan to wear semi-formal (ex. Cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, suits, ties). We ask that you don't wear jeans or t-shirts.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Douglas Vineyard is an outdoor venue. The ceremony will take place outside of the pavilion, the cocktail hour and reception will be under the pavilion. They do have great ceiling fans under the pavilion. We in addition will have fans at the beginning of the aisle for your use during the ceremony.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We have no idea but hope for an amazing, beautiful day. We can tell you its June in North Carolina. Warm we are sure.

What will our vow renewal timeline look like?

Answer

We plan on starting our ceremony off at 4 pm. The ceremony should last for about 45 minutes, with a open bar cocktail in which our bartender will be serving wine, beer, water, sodas. The reception will begin at 6 pm. Dinner will be served shortly after.

Parking detail for the venue?

Answer

The vineyard does have up front parking which will be reserved for anyone that needs a spot close to the ceremony/reception. There is additional parking in their field right next to the vineyard in addition.

Can you bring your kids?

Answer

Yes! Just put it on your RSVP when you send it back in so we have a headcount for our caterer.

What kind of food will be served at cocktail hour/reception?

Answer

We will have appetizers to snack on during cocktail hour. For the reception we have an awesome caterer making a great variety of southern cuisine! BBQ Chicken/Pork, salads, etc! Bring your appetite, we are really excited for our menu!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We have hired an amazing event staff that will be pampering our guests at our event. They will be serving you at the bar all evening, and making sure you are taken care of at the buffet. Anything you need ask them! They are great! REMINDER don’t forget your ID :-)

Can you take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony is a no electronics friendly event. However, once you get to your seats Nancy and I have purchased a digital disposable camera for you to take pictures from your own phone which will be uploaded for us and for you to see later! Look for the instructions on how to do it at your seat. Also if you aren’t tech savvy just look around for one of those tech savvy kids
