Anthony and Kelli first met at work in Muncie. Kel ended up moving to Detroit for another job and a few years later, they reconnected as friends. They had a lot of fun hanging out as just friends and finally decided to go on their first official date on November 19, 2018. They still celebrate their 'Some Month Anniversary' every month on the 19th which is why the 19th was chosen for their wedding date.
Anthony and Kelli traveled to Stowe, Vermont to enjoy the fall foliage in New England, the leaf peeping capital of the US. Anthony told Kel they had a Von Trapp Ski Resort tour at 11 AM on top of Mount Mansfield. It was a 20 minute drive to get up the mountain and 5 minutes before the tour was scheduled, Anthony asked Kel to get out at a lookout and take a photo. She was hesitant and quite irritated because they were already on a time crunch but she reluctantly agreed if they were quick. They asked a group of tourists to take some photos and that is when Anthony got down on one knee and asked Kelli to marry him. They proceeded to take some engagement photos with a professional photographer in the beautiful autumn leaves. Next was the 45 minute hike to the top of the mountain where it was unexpectedly snowing with 30+ mile an hour winds. Winter was not in their plans so they were completely soaked and freezing but nothing was dampening the excitement of being engaged to the person they were always meant to be with. Leaves and snow are Kel's favorite and the couple are always doing activities outside so this was the absolute perfect proposal for them.
