It will be cold in Philadelphia in February, and snow or ice is always a possibility. A free coat check will be available inside the venue, so please bring a jacket and maybe a gloves and a hat to protect yourselves from the elements.
Out of respect for our elders and the immunocompromised, we request all guests be fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, please wear an N-95 mask to all events you attend. If you've had significant exposure or are feeling unwell in the lead-up to the wedding, please take a rapid test prior to joining.
The traditional wedding is a combination of ceremony and celebration that will feature buffet-style Nigerian cuisine. One event is the money spray, which symbolizes a showering of happiness and good fortune. If you would like to participate, we recommend stopping at a bank in advance to pick up some crisp $1 bills to shower on the bride and groom.
We recommend you arrive at 4:00pm to find a seat and get settled. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm, after which we will close the door and let folks in when the moment permits so as not to interrupt the ceremony.
Our wedding weekend is being planned using RSVPs. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
