We met at the Okoboji Store in Okoboji, Iowa late in August 2016. Keifer was performing as the musician and Taylor had convinced her family to go watch Keifer and Scott play rather than enjoying a boat ride or going elsewhere. At the same time Taylor and her family approached the stage to listen, a person from the crowd offered Keifer $100 to play his guitar for a few songs to dedicate to his wife. Keifer immediately passed the guitar over (did not even wait for the $$$) and went straight up to Taylor to talk to her. We exchanged numbers and went on our first date a few weeks later and have been inseparable for the past 7 years! (Shout Out to Ralph on the guitar! He killed it.)

If you know us you know we love two things a lot 1) Live Music and 2) The Iowa State Fair. We had Pit Tickets to see Eric Church at The Iowa State Fair on Sunday, August 13th, 2023. We decided to host a Pre-Fair gathering at our house before going to the concert at the Grandstand that night. We were surrounded by friends, family, and the dog when Keifer got down on one knee while passing Taylor a shirt with a slightly altered Eric Church lyric "All you got to do is put a ring on my hand"! She said yes! We celebrated with those around us, and called/texted those not there, while soaking in the Best. Day. Ever! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
