Take a hike! Literally. This park is the second largest state park in New York State with over 47,000 acres, so we encourage you to get out and about to explore its beauty (esp. during a prime fall foliage month). We just recommend bringing a map, water/snacks and your cell phone of course. It's easy to lose track of time here, so just don't be late for the wedding ;) Driving directions (10 minutes drive from Sheraton / Valley Rock) - https://bit.ly/3tm7sda
Favorite ice cream hands down. Only 25 minutes from the venue, this place satisfies all your sweet tooth cravings. Order Great White Way with a fresh waffle cone (trust us) and sit back and enjoy the stunning views. Driving directions - https://bit.ly/3xuwJV2
Just about an hour trip via train, take some time to explore the Big Apple before heading home. Some spots we'd recommend checking out: breakfast at Essa Bagel (for your classic nova & lox on a bagel that will dispel any doubts about NY bagels and why they're #1), mid-morning pick-me-up at Dominique Ansel (cronuts and DKAs are a must), Ralph's for a quick coffee or matcha stop, lunch or early dinner Rezdora (best Italian spot in town - order the pasta tasting), drinks at The Clocktower (and take some time to explore Madison Square Park), dessert at Caffè Panna (order the Red Flag flavor). You can also check out all the museums NY has to offer and shopping on 5th, of course, if you're into that kinda thing. We prefer to stick with food tours only.
