Places to Stay

There are a lot of hotels in the historic downtown area. Please let us know which one you choose! If you are looking for a beach escape, you might consider staying in Wrightsville Beach. This particular beach is a favorite among the locals and easily one of the most popular beaches in the area. It’s located on a barrier island separated from the mainland by the Intracoastal Waterway which is less than 30 minutes from downtown Wilmington.

We would recommend taking an Uber from the airport to whichever hotel you choose if you are staying in downtown Wilmington. It is about a 10-15 minute ride from ILM to most places downtown you might stay. If you are staying on the beach you might consider a rental car.
