Our wedding ceremony will begin at 3pm on Friday July 12th at the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. After a short break, the party will start with cocktail hour at 5:30pm on the terrace. The evening will conclude at 11:30pm with shuttle service back to the Amway Grand Plaza from 10:30pm to midnight. Please check out our 'schedule' page for all the pre party and after party details. In addition, please come dressed in your best colorful formal wear. For our fellow parents, call your babysitters, as we intend to party!

Isaac and Sara met working at a famous hole-in-the-wall pizza place in the Lincoln park neighborhood of Chicago. You know it, you love it, it's the Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co. They quickly found out they grew up thirty minute apart in Grand Rapids, MI and shared a love for the Detroit Red Wings. After three months of getting to know each other, and many after work drinks talking late into the night, they called it official in May. Now, nearly a decade together, a cross country move to Los Angeles, adopting a giant dog, and a baby boy later, they are finally tying the knot!

Sara, not so subtly, hinted that she wanted to be engaged before she turned 30. In classic Isaac fashion, he waited until the very last minute. Thinking to himself "How do you make a surprise out of something when the other person is certain it's going to happen?" He plotted with some of their closest friends to come up with the perfect plan, a "fake" fancy birthday dinner reservation on the first night in Cabo. Sara who had her suspicions, was thrown off the scent by travel delays, a mildly intoxicated Groom-to-Be, and several "where are you guys?" texts from the party group. "Happy 30th Birthday" decorations and balloons filled the entryway when they arrived to their Airbnb. An emotional Sara was insistent that they needed to change and "get to the 'restaurant'" immediately to avoid being late. It took more than a little coaxing to get Sara to take a peek out of the window to find rose petals decorating the backyard. Sara immediately started crying knowing what was happening. After Isaac got down on one knee, and Sara said, "yeah, I guess," their friends jumped out from around the corner surprising them! Then, Sara and Isaac got to surprise them all by sharing that they had just found out they were expecting!
