We met when we were both living in Arlington, Virginia and didn't think much of it. We went to a board game bar for our date, just in case things got awkward there was an activity to fall back on. For 2 hours, I beat Joe in every game we played so naturally Joe made us go to that same bar for the second date for him to get redemption. Things just clicked and we went on 4 dates in the first week. This was the sign that this could go somewhere.

We were wrapping up a busy time for us. We had just bought our house, Joe had moved back to Philly for his new job, I was packing up my apartment in Arlington, and we were getting ready to celebrate Joe's new job and the house on our cruise. We had our 2 year anniversary and Joe was coming down to Arlington to visit and celebrate our anniversary. We were recreating our first date and going to our favorite restaurant since this would be our last weekend in Virginia before we moved. Joe and I went to my old apartment where we would always walk to restaurants, bars, farmer's markets, and just take after work walks. We went for drinks at our first date spot and on our walk back to the apartment, Joe stopped me in front of the building and said "This is where we started our Arlington chapter, and I think this is where we should end it." Then he got down on a knee and proposed. We are so excited to celebrate the start of our next chapter with you!
