It all started with a simple "you're cute" message on Instagram summer '2020. From there, we spent countless hours over direct message talking about anything from being students at JSU, to his night shift job, to sharing our dog pictures. Eventually, we met up once school opened again. Instagram messages turned into hangouts at both apartments, late night food deliveries to Zak at work, and hours long FaceTime calls. After a few weeks, we had our first date, and within just a couple more weeks, we started officially dating, 9.28.20, and the rest is history!

With Zak in training for the Army in California, we had been doing long distance for about 7 months before Kayley was able to fly out and visit. Zak had planned a whole day for us, going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, then grabbing some lunch and shopping around some stores. Later in the evening, around sunset, Zak popped the question during a walk by the pier. The most perfect, intimate day! We are so excited share this moment with you, see you in Skyline!
