The Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac provides 15,000 sq. feet of indoor space and more than 10,000 sq. feet of outdoor space. This 34-mile rail trail skirts the western edge of the vast Horicon Marsh from Fond du Lac to Clyman Junction. The Horicon Marsh, a National Wildlife Refuge and State Wildlife Area, home to over 250 bird species, is world-famous for its numerous migrant waterfowl and endless V-shaped formations of Canada geese. Wildflowers, woodlots, wildlife, prairie remnants and fertile farm fields are common sites along the trail.
MARSH HAVEN NATURE CENTER offers almost three miles of hiking trails that wind through prairie, woodland, and wetland habitat. There is no fee to hike the trails, but donations to help maintain the facility are always appreciated. We invite you to take some time to relax in nature, take a hike, and enjoy the beauty of our local wildlife, native plants, and towering trees. Stop and rest on the Leopold benches provided throughout the series of trails here at Marsh Haven Nature Center. Each season brings a special beauty to be enjoyed and appreciated.

Kids can enjoy our highly interactive area, the KidVenture Gallery, that features 16 hands-on exhibits, a scenic overlook from Tower of Flight, as well as a climb into the cockpit of a half-scale model of an F-22.
In April 2021, the Flury family officially opened Katy’s Log Cabin. After seeing the building go through multiple great owners throughout the years, they decided it was their time to make a space in Oakfield for family and friends to enjoy themselves.
