We're getting Married!

We matched on Hinge right before the 4th of July 2021. The best birthday gift Sean could have asked for! Talk about fireworks! We hit it off instantly but we still wanted to keep things private until we were sure this was going to be something real. Kayla told her mom about Sean with the caveat "it's really early, don't tell anyone yet". Needless to say all of Day and Roberts Counties knew about Sean within days. Sean didn't tell a soul about Kayla for several weeks until his sister Kaitlin caught them on a date in Fargo. Sean had some concerns about Kayla being a crazy cat lady with her two cats, Ozzy and Blue, but after the first time Blue crawled on Sean's lap and fell asleep purring, Sean was hooked. After a few months together, Kayla decided it was time to bring Sean home to Waubay to meet the family. After a fantastic relaxing initial weekend, all future visits have been more "free labor to work cows" than "relaxing day at the lake" which Sean has come to enjoy. Think of Pauly Shore in "Son in Law" except the Breskes don't allow Sean to operate equipment (a smart decision on their part). Kayla has fit right in with the Kellys, enjoying weekly dinner nights (especially the homemade desserts and leftover meals) and has come to love playing trivia and Scrabble (her new favorites). Mama Nancy's pork and homemade spaetzle with gravy is now a favorite meal that we love to cook for ourselves and our friends and family. Kayla has become an excellent spaetzle maker! With the cooking tips from Mama Nancy and a new found marriage, Sean just might become a tater tot hot dish lover after all! The following two years have been a whirlwind of family vacations, friend and family weddings, trips to Waubay to see the Breskes and Vikings games with the Kellys. We were engaged on our two year anniversary in August of 2023 are looking forward to seeing everyone celebrate with us in October of 2024!
