Venue Address: Trefethen-Evergreen Improvement Association 10 Trefethen Ave Peaks Island, ME, 04108 United States Please refer to the "Travel" tab for information regarding the ferry to get to Peaks Island. Once you arrive on the Island, there will be vehicles to take you to the wedding venue starting at 2pm the day of the wedding. If you would like to take your vehicle to Peaks Island, you are welcome to. However, there is limited parking at the venue.
The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. We ask that all guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to be able to find seats. That being said, the 3:15pm ferry from Portland to Peaks Island may not get you to the venue before 3:45pm. We recommend an earlier ferry to ensure you have adequate time to make it to the venue.
A short ferry ride is required to get over to Peaks Island. The circumference is roughly 4 miles. Therefore, everything on the island is relatively close. This YouTube video gives a great example of what to expect and things to do on Peaks Island! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R3LvII4xPw
The dress code is "beach wedding attire." We want our guests to be comfortable! However, we ask that you refrain from wearing jeans and a graphic t-shirt. Examples of options to wear include a button down or a flowy sundress. Ladies-please be careful wearing heels to the wedding. The ceremony will be outdoors in the grass. Wedges or block heels are recommended if you decide to wear heels.
The ceremony will take place outdoors as long as the weather permits. The cocktail hour and reception will take place indoors. However, guests will have the option to enjoy outdoor lawn activities and the outdoor porch at the venue throughout the reception.
We ask that phones be put away during the ceremony. We have two wonderful photographers that will be capturing the moment and we would like our guests to simply be present during the ceremony. After the ceremony, we welcome guests to take as many photos and videos as they would like! We will have a QR code where you can send us your favorites from the night!
