Looking 10-Years Back

When you know you know!

If you want to talk about whirlwind, look no further than our story. Who said that falling in love hard and fast can only be in the movies? It definitely was like a movie, but we both knew it was real and still is... even after ten years! We found each other through the "intergalactic net" and for some reason things just clicked. We talked and texted (hours at end and hundreds of texts a day) and got to know each other for almost a month before deciding to meet up in person. And when we finally met, the date went on for more than 8 hours! We had so much fun, laughter and deep conversations that we knew right then and there that this is something really special. And after that kiss-less date, we have never been apart! We got engaged 8 months after knowing each other and got married in less than 2 months after that. Two broke people, just full of dreams and goals... and a lot of LOVE! We started our journey into building the life we want together. We worked crazy hours and lived in each other's parent's houses and worked our ass off! We really made our dreams happen through blood, sweat and tears. But even with our sharp vision for what we want to achieve, we did not forget to have fun and live life. We travelled to so many states and many countries! We kept our vows to see the world together and to have all these memories and adventures that will last us forever. 2017 & 2018 were "the years" for us. After working hard for so long, we finally were able to save enough to build our forever home. Then Walter finally left his 2 jobs and pursued his dream job as a juvenile counselor and Kaye was continuously climbing her nursing career ladder! Then that's when we decided to grow our family! We went on a 3-week Europe trip and came home pregnant. We had our little boy, Ethan on June 26th, 2019. And our little family was even more fun. We had a new travel buddy, and Walter definitely now have his "mini me!" Aside from finding each other and creating the life we wanted, having Ethan is the best accomplishment we have! Well... 10 years, 12 states and 26 countries later, we are still here. Still living our movie-like love story and are enjoying the life we have built together while still working hard to achieve our next goals! What we feel right now can be summarized by Shania Twain's song. "Looks like we made it Look how far we've come, my baby We mighta took the long way We knew we'd get there someday They said, 'I bet they'll never make it' But just look at us holdin' on We're still together, still goin' strong." - Kaye & Walter
