Ashley Wagner

Matron of Honor

Ash and I have been bestfriends for 20 years! We’ve been all over the world together and she was there to help deliver my baby. There’s so much I can say about her (but I only have 800 characters), ultimately shes more of a sister than a best friend and I wouldn’t be who I am today without her and her family in my life. I owe so much to them for being a constant in my crazy life. If she mentions anything about whales, don’t listen to her.

Jackie O’Brien

Bridesmaid

Jackie and I have been bestfriends for 20 years also! Ashley, Jackie and I met in middle school in Las Vegas. Jackie and I used to tell our parents we were spending the night at each other’s house and would really go camping or up to the mountains with friends! We had the best teenage years together and they are some of my favorite memories! Jackie moved to California right after high school and is the reason I moved here 7 years later and inevitably ended up meeting Jason! Thanks Jacks! She is by far one of my favorite people on this earth. She’s incredibly smart and one of the most fun people to get drunk with but also has the biggest heart and will help anyone who needs it!

Erin Vega

Bridesmaid

We laugh about this all the time but we did not like each other at first. Like at all! We met when we both worked at Cheesecake Factory together. I was still in highschool and got all the weekends off for things like Prom- she did not like that because that meant she would have to work them all. We had words and eventually realized we had more in common than not and we became fast and best friends. We worked at Palms Casino together for 3 years and then I moved to CO and later to CA. We remained close and went through all the life events together- marriage, kid, divorce, etc. We had found ourselves even closer while going through a similar life changing event- pregnant with our baby girls together!! And here we are now- her standing by my side while I finally get married!!

Ashley Thayer

Bridesmaid

Ash and I met when we worked at the same restaurant/bar in Hermosa Beach! She didn’t like me at first due to my choice of clothing (very Vegas chic) but eventually got to know me and grew to love me! I was a bridesmaid at her wedding, celebrated her first child being born and fast forward a couple years- we went through our pregnancies together. We had babies born exactly 2 weeks apart which was so cool to do together! Out of all my friends Ashley and I are the most alike so we can definitely butt our stubborn heads at times but she is the first person I think of to call if I need anything- no matter the time of the day!!

Julianna Burrows

Bridesmaid

Julianna and I met at Ocean Bar in Hermosa Beach as cocktail waitresses! She trained me and I specifically remember saying to myself “I can’t be friends with this girl- she’s too nice!” And if that isn’t the perfect word for her. She is literally the most kind, caring, selfless person and will do absolutely anything for the people she loves. I don’t deserve her but I’m damn glad I have her in my life! Her and her husband Pete have been involved in my dogs life since we moved here and just the mention of their names, Ace gets insanely excited. He might like them more than he likes me- not might, he for sure does!

Taryn Elloriaga

Bridesmaid

I met Taryn through Ashley Thayer! She completed my small friend group of four here in the South Bay perfectly! We started off doing annual Christmas parties with our dogs and slowly started adding kids into the mix. She’s pregnant with her first- a baby girl that will no doubt be Sloane’s bestfriend! My favorite memories are our dinners and Palm Springs trips with Ashley and Julianna! Taryn is soft hearted, kind and gentle. She cares about her friends and family so much. Her favorite thing to do is brunch and my favorite is when she gets tipsy on endless mimosas!! Literally the life of the party when that champagne hits!!

Matthew Wagner

Officiant

Oh Matthew!!! What can I say about him! Matt has been in my life since Ashley and him started dating in high school. From day 1 he has made fun of me. And has never stopped. When I would fly to CO to visit them he would say they no longer lived there and would send me to a different location. Once he drafted up a colored cheat sheet of what sport was what and the matching ball to each sport. As much as he makes fun of me I know I’m one of his favorite people. And so is Jason because he finally took me off Matt’s hands- he’s the perfect person to marry us! Also if he mentions whales as well, don’t listen to him either!

Sloane Gordon

Daughter of Bride & Groom

Sloane will be two days shy of 1 when we get married! We didn’t expect her to be apart of our wedding but we are so happy she is because it will make it that more special! She is a beauty and will steal the spotlight for sure!!

Cole Harrington

Ring Bearer

Cole is Jason’s nephew. Cole and Sloane are only a few months apart and a few miles away. We’re so excited they get to grow up together.

Jax Figueroa

Ring Bearer

Jax is Katy’s nephew! He’s 3 and has so much personality! He came out to CA when Sloane was 3 months old to meet her and his uncle Jason and we are so excited to involve him on our special day!

Brian Boudreau

Best Man

Brain and I have been friends since we worked together at Best Buy when he was slinging cell phones for Cingular. Brian has a MBA but was unable to pass the test to actually work for Best Buy so I took it for him after he failed it twice. We traveled to quite a bit together in and out of the country and always get into some type of trouble when we're together. We shared so many good times at the Press Box, O'Neils, Paddys for BDT and other events. We graduated from school together and he helped me move across the country. Unforunately, he helped his now wife move to Florida the same week so we only had 48 hours to make it to California. Through a heavy dose of energy drinks and a wrong turn into Canada, we made it in 36 hours. Godfathers for Life!!!

Steve Wigmore

Bestest Mensch

Steve and I met circa 2009 at Fenners (RIP). For the first few months after meeting mutual friends, we never were in the same place at the same time, causing confusion with the group (mainly Ryan) if we were the same person. My mom has even confused us in the past. After years of friendship, we decided to take our hetero relationship to the next level and move in together at a place a few blocks from Hermosa Beach. The next four years of living together created lost of shenanigans, Hermosa Nights, Hermosa Days, and overall fun times. Steve is a big part of the wedding. He got transferred to Texas and moved out, causing me to get a new roomate which wasn't the same. I decided to grow up and move far east into Torrance with Katy. Steve turns everyone’s group messages green.

Bryce Chalmers

Groomsman

Bryce, "B-Nasty" Chalmers and I met at the now defunct FFFF. We instantly became friends with our love of the Red Sox and similiar jobs. Our first adventure together was planning an early morning run during a heavy drinking session. The run somehow happened and we became friends instantly. Bryce introduced me to country music which is something I never knew I was missing. Bryce is the life of the party and lets everyone know he is, "tall, good-looking, and has plenty of money!" a saying which has never backfired on him at all. We done Stagecoach and Vegas multiple times and always have great times. B-Nasty will do anything for his friends and always followed that same mantra with me. Expect him to be the first one on the dance floor, with or without a shirt on!

Derek Everson

Groomsman

Derek and I met at our Best Buy days before we were old enough to drink. After I moved to California, Derek came for a visit and never really left. He became the "California" staple "Guy on Couch." He stayed on an insanely uncomfortable couch for a solid two months, until we somehow lucked ourselves into an affordable apartment on the sand. Derek is the essential "Boston sterotype" guy. Once we were roomates we played fun games like, "throw a watermelon off the balcony onto the sand". "throw a football off the balcony onto the sand", and everyones favorite, "light fireworks from the balcony and hoped it lands on the sand." Derek has since moved back to Boston

Rob Schoch

Groomsman

Rob is one of my oldest friends in the world. We met back in middle school and followed similiar paths. We worked at Circuit City together, Best Buy together, and a few odd jobs here and there. He was the first of our friends to be married, which made life fun to plan a bachelor party when you’re broke- everyone knows the way to do it is to wait until you are older and more established! I was priveleged to go on a cruise with him when he was going to propose to his wife. Luckily that went off without a hitch, I can't say the same about the food poisining. He was the first to have a kid, and another, and another, and another. He’s still in Boston and always one of my first stops when I go back home.
