Me and Mr. Evans

He opened the door for me and I knew

Some say the pandemic brought about a lot of appreciation for what we all took for granted and we would say that is true. It was a time to self reflect, and it was a time to recognize that we wanted to start living and put ourselves out there. And that is exactly what Brandon and I did. So a blonde from St Johns and a handsome fella from Madison decided to put their hearts out there and we met. How did we meet? Like any red blooded Americans met during a pandemic... On Line Dating. LOL! On March 4, 2021 Brandon picked me up in his truck for our first date and before I knew it, he was standing there opening the door for me to hop on in. And what he didn't know is that THAT was the sign I had asked God for a month before. This is what I asked God, that ONLY the man I was intended to marry would open the door for me. Also if God didn't mind, let him have a good southern boy accent. And I GOT BOTH! Brandon knew I was the one when he said he couldn't get me out of his mind. Driving, working, school, and even when he just left my house, he knew that I was the one because he couldn't stop thinking about us together. Yes, Brandon and I would agree that the pandemic brought about a lot of appreciation, self reflection but mostly two people who were blessed by God to find each other. We are forever grateful for southern accents, good ole boys who still open the doors for their ladies, and signs from God.
