We had met online and chatted back and forth briefly before deciding to meet in person. Doug suggested we go to Culver's for our first date and after talking for hours, and eating a LOT of ice cream, we decided that we should probably get together again...and here we are.

October 11th is my birthday and we had a whole day planned with an Escape Room, target shooting and a bonfire with everyone at my parents' house. Doug kept trying to move things along so we would have time to shoot before it got dark and so I could open presents early; he normally just goes with the flow so I figured he was really excited about shooting stuff too. Once everyone was there he gave me three different presents, which turned out to be boxes of ammo, a target, and then the gun that I had been wanting! We went out to the back deck and I got to try out my new rifle on all the various targets set up. I kept shooting targets at random so Doug pointed out one that he wanted me to shoot, so I did...and then went on to shoot another couple of targets before Doug told me to look back at the target he had me shoot and read what it said. I read "Will You Marry Me" through the scope of a rifle...and I said YES!
