Meet us in Buenos Aires! Here are some travel details to make things easier. Please reach out to us if you have questions!

Flight

Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE)

EZE is the international airport in BA! There are tons of flights from Miami, Houston, LA and New York. We would recommend on leaving the US on Tuesday 10/29 to arrive in BA on Wednesday 10/30, so you have a day to recover from the flight (it's a long one!)

Hotel

Alvear Palace Hotel

1891 Avenida Alvear, Buenos Aires, CABA C1129, Argentina

A nicer option in the Recoleta neighborhood! It is a short drive from where the ceremony will be held.

Hotel

Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

1661 Avenida Alvear, Buenos Aires, CABA C1014, Argentina

A nicer option in the Recoleta neighborhood! This is a short drive from our ceremony. This property is stunning!

Travel Note

Safety Note

While Buenos Aires is a relatively safe city, it is suffering from a major economic depression. The main type of crime here is petty theft, when you go out to eat do not keep your phone on the table, and when you are walking around do not keep your phone in your pocket.

Travel Note

Changing Money

Argentina uses the Argentine peso. We would recommend changing a small amount of cash to use for a taxi upon arrival and then when you get there find the best rate at a money changing stall. A lot of places will take major American credit cards, with the exception of American Express. Some small businesses would actually prefer if you pay in US dollars and will give you a discount if you pay in dollars. We would recommend bringing a decent amount of American dollars as this is the most effective currency there.

Travel Note

Neighborhoods to Stay

San Telmo Charm: Embrace the old-school Porteño vibe with its charming cobblestone streets and historic mansions. Highlights: Enjoy tango bars, vibrant antique markets, and artisan fairs every Sunday. Accommodations: Find large, inexpensive rental houses and apartments that provide an authentic Buenos Aires experience. Proximity: Conveniently located near Centro and Puerto Madero, but 20-30 minutes away from Palermo and Recoleta. Safety: While central areas are lively, outskirts can be less safe at night. Palermo Charm: Known for being the trendiest neighborhood, Palermo offers a vibrant nightlife, designer shops, and beautiful parks. Subsections: Target Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood for the best experiences and public transport options. Accommodations: Boutique hotels and compact rental apartments dominate the area, perfect for trendy stays. Proximity: Well-connected by the D subway line and other public transport. Recoleta Charm: A wealthy area with elegant French and Italian architecture, offering a luxurious atmosphere. Highlights: Visit the famous Recoleta Cemetery, artisan fairs on weekends, and the Museum of Fine Arts. Accommodations: Choose from mid-range to high-end hotels for a comfortable stay. Proximity: Centrally located with easy access to Palermo and Centro, making it convenient for sightseeing. Note: The area is upscale and may not be ideal for budget travelers due to higher costs. Puerto Madero Charm: A modern neighborhood with an international business vibe, known for its fine dining, high-end apartments, and scenic port views. Highlights: Stroll along the port, visit the Ecological Reserve, and dine at upscale outdoor patios. Accommodations: High-end hotels and rental apartments offer luxurious stays. Proximity: Limited public transport options mean taxis are often necessary, but the area is very safe and ideal for leisurely walks.
