Things To Do

Ybor City

Ybor City

7th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605

Located Northeast of Downtown Tampa, Ybor City was founded in the 1880s by Vicente Martinez-Ybor, a prominent Spanish cigar manufacturer, who moved his cigar factories from Cuba and Key West to Tampa. Tampa soon became known as "Cigar City". There are great Cuban, Italian, and Spanish restaurants, eclectic shops and some great dive bars here. Pop in to Coppertail Brewery for some of our favorite Tampa craft beers and be sure to keep your eye out for Ybor's famous roosters and chickens!

The Florida Aquarium

The Florida Aquarium

701 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602
, (813) 273-4000

The aquarium tracks a drop of water's progress through Florida's diverse ecosystems. It features river otters, sharks, alligators, lemurs, sea dragons, sea turtles and more! A truly great place to learn about Florida and entertain your kiddos. The aquarium offers penguin encounters, dolphin excursions and much more. After you're finished, head over to Sparkman Wharf to grab a snack and watch the cruise ships leave the Port of Tampa.

Armature Works

Armature Works

1910 North Ola Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602
, (813) 250-3725

Armature Works is a newly redesigned mixed use space. Settled right along the Hillsborough River, this is one of our favorite places in Tampa. There are lots of great food and drink options here. Grab dinner on Friday or check out the Heights Morning Market, featuring tons of local artists and artisans from 10-2pm on Saturday. After you've finished, take a walk on the Tampa Riverwalk, our favorite running trail!
