We met in high school while working out in the weight room during our athlete off-season. Katie noticed a yellow iPhone and immediately thought that was odd because it was a pale feminine yellow color and there had only been two girls in the weight room; herself and her best friend. Knowing the yellow iPhone did not belong to themselves, Katie asks, “who has the yellow iPhone?” Ryan laughed and said the iPhone was his. To this day we still joke about Ryan’s girly iPhone!

Our families were getting together at Fairman Family Farms for, what I thought to be, family portraits. It was very cold but the frozen rocky waterfall behind us made for the perfect family portrait. Our family friend taking the pictures asked for Ryan and I to come together. She told us to pose by turning away from each other. When I turned around, Ryan was down on one knee. I was so excited! I shouted yes and we were engaged with both of our families watching! We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
