If I am staying at Whitefish Lodge, how can I get to Manhattan Beach Lodge throughout the weekend?

Answer

The couple is providing a complementary shuttle that will operate on Friday evening and throughout the day/night Saturday. We welcome anyone to join us at the beach, the Tiki bar, or simply relax with a book by the lake. Note: wedding block and reservation information will follow with wedding invitations

Why Manhattan Beach Lodge?

Answer

The lodge is located on Big Trout Lake where Katie and her mom's family (the Kuehn family) has vacationed for decades. The Kuehn family owns two cabins side-by-side on the other end of the lake. Katie's childhood included many summers up at these cabins. They remain in the Kuehn family to this day! Late Grandma Helen Kuehn is forever part of this lake. Besides the sentimental aspect, the lodge was selected because we get the entire compound exclusively to ourselves the day of the wedding, and the food is great! 4:00 a.m. cannon balls off the dock, anyone? What is the weather like in Crosslake in June?

Answer

Awesome. Mild and sunny. Dress in layers, the evenings can get cool. Rain possible, but pray to the rain gods that we don't get rain on our wedding!

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and social hour are outside. Think lawn and beach wedding... in other words, don't wear stilettoes. If the weather is crappy, we'll adjust accordingly, but we won't let that bring us down!

What's the attire?

Answer

Cabin cocktail party. For those city slickers out there, that means ties and heels are discouraged.

Is Uber/Lyft available?

Answer

We do not recommend that guests plan on using ride-sharing services. They can be spotty or unavailable. The Couple has arranged for Friday and Saturday shuttle services.
