One of our most favorite brunch spots. Check out the Art Museum location if this one is busy.
Bart's made sure we had our proper dose of bagels throughout the pandemic. One of the city's best for pick up or delivery.
Hang with Penn students and grab a super casual bite from a variety of options to eat on the go or at one of their communal tables.
Delishhhh for a nicer but casual dinner or takeout. Full bar for all your needs.
One of our favorite restaurants in Fairmount. BYOB - and do not pass on the flaming cheese.
Grab a cocktail and a bite in an old firehouse sitting right across from the historic Eastern State Penitentiary.
Take a walk along Kelly Drive and check out one of Philly's finest landmarks. If you've never seen it all lit up at night, it's worth a visit!
Visit the Rocky statue, run up the steps, or ya know, actually go inside and check out the incredible art.
Explore the beautiful grounds in and around Fairmount Park by foot, or purchase a timed ticket to enter the house.
Take a walk through Fairmount Park - one of our pandemic staples - and check out the variety of historic mansions. There's a great view of the Art Museum and river from the top of Lemon Hill (also a favorite post high school hangout spot for Rob McElhenney of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" fame--don't worry, you're unlikely to run into St. Joe's Prep kiddos these days ;).
Head across the city to South Philly's East Passyunk neighborhood to check out the spot we got engaged! The triangle at the Singing Fountain is great place to have a coffee, people watch, or make a pit stop while exploring "The Ave." Tons of great small businesses to shop, eat, and drink!
You've never seen anything like Philly's Magic Gardens. Hard to explain but easy to appreciate, this collection of mosaics by Isaiah Zagar creates a mesmerizing space to explore from the labyrinth inside or as you walk down South Street. If you want to head inside, be sure to reserve tickets in advance.
Yes it's all the way in South Philly. Yes it's the best roast pork sandwich you've ever had. Don't believe us? Ask Jason. His whole family lives in the Philippines and made a point of stopping by this shop on their trip through Philly a few years back.
Need a different brunch recommendation? Here's a great one. They have a few other locations around the city and they're all great. Just FYI they're BYOB and cash only. (Yes, it's worth it).
