We're excited to celebrate our next big adventure with you!

Our mutual friend Adam Lowdermilk gets full credit for making this happen - and three years later, he'll be the one marrying us! Adam has been one of Katie's closest friends since they were 12 years old, and Adam and Leo became fast friends during fire academy in 2019. He told Leo about Katie - but said nothing to Katie about Leo. Katie and Adam made plans for a hike in Muir Woods, and in a sneaky and brilliant move, Adam showed up with a surprise addition to the party. I'll never forget the moment Adam walked through the doors to pick me up for the hike, followed by this striking blue-eyed hunk who knew a ton of strange facts about nature...and the rest is history.

We had two insane years as a couple before Leo got down on one knee. From the illness of Katie's mother, to a wildfire season that kept Leo on shift for 55 days in a row, to a global pandemic and moving to the mountains and buying a home - it's been a wild ride that's truly shown how well we work together as a team. In October, Leo made a fuss about getting a family photo in the backyard of our newly purchased home. When the cameras were rolling, he stepped on a loose patch of dirt, dug up a treasure chest he'd planted there, and proposed to a stunned Katie...who cried and of course said yes yes yes!

The intimacy of a private wedding ceremony feels right for us, especially because we want to make it official inside Yosemite National Park, which has strict limits on event size. We also feel strongly about how much we love you all (and how much we love a good party), so we're so excited that we get to have the best of both worlds by celebrating with you all at Rush Creek Lodge in the evening after we tie the knot in the morning! Leo was a professional guide in Yosemite for several years, so naturally, he took Katie on her first trip there in 2019...along with 11 of our friends! Since then, much of our love story has unfolded during adventures inside this jaw-dropping park. We appreciate your understanding about the small ceremony and can't wait to party with you as newlyweds!
