Dressy-casual will work best! We plan on having a more formal ceremony that transitions to yard games, a bonfire, dancing and other fun outdoor festivities. Definitely wear comfy shoes that you can walk on grass in. You will want to bring some warmer clothes (ie a jacket) in case it gets a bit chilly after sunset.
After the ceremony there will be about a half hour to an hour for photos, drinks, appetizers and games. Dinner will subsequently commence, then festivities!
We recommend that you arrive at least a half hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled! There will be food and drinks for you while you wait.
Parking will be available at the property.
Heck yes! Kids are always the life of the party!
The more the merrier! We only ask that when you RSVP, you let us know that you are bringing a guest so we can plan accordingly with food and seating.
Yes! We would LOVE for people to add music ideas they would like to hear during the wedding! We have a Spotify playlist set up for anyone to add music to at their leisure up until the wedding day that we will give to the DJ. The playlist is called: "Katie&Kory's Wedding Song Requests". If you do not have Spotify or are having trouble finding the playlist, here is the link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5NZsV0iAfu0iNfek0tcFPh?si=76601c63e40e4fa5. Feel free to text us song ideas as an alternative, we fully welcome the help with music choices!
We will have a variety of snacks from fruit and veggies to goodies, crackers and cheeses to kick things off before the ceremony. Dinner will be catered by 808 Grinds, a delicious Portland-based Hawaiian restaurant. We are still finalizing the menu and will update as soon as possible. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or concerns, please let us know!
Absolutely! #KatieAndKorySittingInATree
Bill and Laurie Petersen are generously hosting our wedding on their beautiful property just outside Battleground, WA. Prepare to be awed by gorgeous views, friendly chickens, and a likely visit from the neighbors lovable horses as we celebrate the day.
